Man, cheap nfl jerseys was I stumped when my friend Mandy asked me if it’s illegal to hurdle in the NFL! I’ve been a die-hard football fan for as long as I can remember, and I never considered what the league policies are on different sports moves like hurdling. Then again, I can understand why people would think it’s legal since there’s plenty of other athletic acts allowed in the NFL, like stiff-arming.
So, I did some research and here’s what I found out: The NFL isn’t the biggest fan of hurdling. It has banned it for safety reasons, which is understandable. The average player is an absolute monster out there on the field, and it only takes one wrong move from someone trying to hurdle to end up with severe injury and keep a player out for the rest of the season.
At the same time, the NFL has found ways to make room for athletic players. One way it does this is by making clear distinctions between legal and illegal acts, like allowing a stiff arm as a “block” versus flagging someone for “targeting.” When you look at it this way, it kind of makes sense that they wouldn’t want someone making a risky move like hurdling—no matter how graceful and cheap jerseys from china athletic it may look.
The policies also make more sense when you take into account how hard the NFL is trying to protect its players’ health. Hurdling just adds one extra step (pun intended) to a potentially dangerous situation, and the NFL has made a conscious decision to prevent it.
However, cheap nfl jerseys jerseys not everyone’s onboard! Plenty of professional athletes—and even some NFL fans—have pleaded with the wholesale nfl jerseys to give hurdling a chance. After all, they argue, cheap jerseys from china just because it may be dangerous doesn’t mean it should be entirely illegal.
It’s a complex issue that I’m still trying to wrap my head around. I want to give hurdling a chance, cheap nfl jerseys and I understand the concern—both for safety reasons and how the NFL could be considered hypocritical for allowing some athletic acts and not others.
At the same time, I recognize the importance of keeping players safe. Which is why, wholesale jerseys in the end, I don’t think hurdling should be allowed as a legal move in the NFL. It’s just too risky, and the options for wholesale jerseys other ways to score that make it completely unnecessary.
Still, it would be pretty badass to see some guy hurdle his way to a touchdown. Man, wholesale nfl jerseys from china that’d be something special!
It’s hard to ignore the potential appeal of hurdling – I mean, it looks super athletic and can act as quite a nice show of skill. What’s more, some experts argue that by allowing it, wholesale jerseys you’d be encouraging a breed of athletes who could show their unique skills and style on the field.
Compare that to just regulating all movement, stifling the athletic potential of the players and you’ll see why many people are in favour of it. But on the other side of the coin, cheap jerseys since someone could miss out on a whole season because of dodging an oncoming tackle, it seems too risky to allow.
I can also understand why some players might be disappointed that they can’t show off their unique skills publicly. Who wouldn’t want to put a sweet hurdle in front of millions of viewers?
Personally, I think the NFL rules can be a bit too harsh on certain aspects of the game. You could argue that by not allowing certain athletic skills, the league is denying players the ability to express themselves.
On the other hand, we have to remember why the NFL introduced rules in the first place. To ensure player safety, of course. So ultimately, the worry is that allowing hurdling could increase the risk of player injury. And, while I think we should weigh the risks and rewards of having such a move available, I don’t think we should take the risk at this time.
It’s a tough situation, as fans we want to see all of the athletic beauty that a sport of football has to offer, but at the same time we want the players to stay safe.
Sometimes I think to myself, “If only there was some way to allow the players to show off their athleticism, without jeopardizing their safety.” How awesome would that be?
And yet, whenever I come back to reality I’m reminded that football is a dangerous sport, and hurdling is a risky maneuver. That’s why I think that the NFL is absolutely right to not have hurdling as a legal move. Although it might be cool to watch, the risks outweigh the rewards and wholesale nfl jerseys from china I don’t think it should be allowed.
Plus, you’ve got to give the NFL credit for the measures they’ve taken to protect their athletes! Whether it’s the concussion protocol or better equipment, they really are making positive strides to try and keep everyone involved in a game of football safe.
I still can’t help but think though – what if the NFL did allow hurdling? Would it be awesome, or a total disaster? I guess we’ll never know.
